The book of 1 Corinthians was written to the church in Corinth to address several key issues. One of the issues that Paul addresses is the chaos and self-centeredness that had become their worship services. 1 Corinthians 14

In our text this morning, Philip has this incredible encounter with a man whom God has singled out to hear the Gospel. This man did not belong in the covenant community and, yet, God specifically, intentionally, and with great care sends Philip to bring the light of the Gospel of Jesus to him. Acts 8:26-40
