In our text this morning, Philip has this incredible encounter with a man whom God has singled out to hear the Gospel. This man did not belong in the covenant community and, yet, God specifically, intentionally, and with great care sends Philip to bring the light of the Gospel of Jesus to him. Acts 8:26-40

Thus far in the story, we have watched as the gospel of Jesus Christ has transformed the city of Jerusalem. But here, in Acts 8, the gospel is beginning its spread to the nations! Acts 8:4-25
