We’re excited to invite you to a family-friendly evening of worship, theatre and Christmas carols in a musical presented by the Redeemer Kids called ‘Under the Tree‘. The musical takes place on Sunday, December 8 at 6:30pm at the Orillia Christian School; doors open at 6:00pm.
Our musical this year takes place under the tree. As soon as the family leaves the house for a Christmas Eve party, the little nativity scene comes to life, and so do the toys wrapped up for Christmas. Presents begin to pop open from the inside, and our favourite childhood toys wander out and then wonder about the little baby in the manger. Who is He? What does He have to do with Christmas? And why did He come in the first place? The nativity characters explain the gospel, and our great need for a saviour, but our toys already have their own unique fix to the problem of sin. The Lego mini figures plan to build their way to heaven, the army men will simply train harder, and our dolls will strive for perfection, each accompanied by their own song to send the point home. But when the nativity characters explain the true meaning of Christmas and sing a special song of gratitude for the gift of the saviour, the toys share in their thankfulness for the little Messiah.
Bring your family, friends and neighbours and celebrate Christmas with us. We hope to see you there!
